peugeot contest entry- ZOOM

Here's a car design I made for the Peugeot design contest. It's not quite as finished as I would like it to have been, but an unexpected after-hours job threw me a bit off course this month and I barely finished this at all! All done in Max (except peugeot logo on top, of course!), polygons and SubDs, mental ray renderer with FG. Comments and criticism welcome, of course!

The design itself is inspired by Formula cars and vintage racers, like the Lotus 7. It is slightly insect-like, I think! I tried to use flowing, enveloping lines around the driver and do as lightweight a vehicle as possible to fit in with the environmentally conscious theme.

It did not make it to the finals (duh!) but it was a good exercise in SubDs for me! Hope you enjoy it, c&c welcome!
